Lead NDT, LLC is a family-owned and operated business that specializes in providing certified non-destructive testing (NDT) services as well as a variety of pipe services.
The company was founded by owners Michael and Kelley Richard in 2009. After gaining more that 25 years of experience in the NDT industry, the owners put their knowledge and proven expertise to work in creating a company that prides itself on safety, quality workmanship and professionalism.
At Lead NDT we are also dedicated to surpassing the competition when it comes to honesty and integrity – as well as providing superior customer service.
We value each of our customers and strive to build long-term professional relationships while also providing clients with personalized attention.
Since its founding as a small company with a handful of employees, Lead NDT has grown to encompass a workforce of more than 40 dedicated professionals. In addition, our client list has grown from a few local companies to more than 50 respected oil and gas providers. Headquartered in Broussard, Louisiana, our company has also grown to include branches in Houston, TX, Buffalo, WY, and Ray, ND. We are currently serving clients across the Gulf Coast area and in several regions throughout the U.S. – including the Bakken, Eagleford, and Woodbine shale plays.
The professionals at Lead NDT utilize non-destructive testing as a tool for managing quality assurance – and it yields impressive results when used correctly.
Our team fully understands the various methods available and their capabilities and limitations – and we also possess in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and specifications for performing these tests.
At Lead NDT, we understand that the failure of materials and equipment must be avoided at all costs. Proper testing of products and equipment is essential in early detection and preventative maintenance, and can greatly reduce the possibility of equipment failure. An undetected flaw within equipment during normal operations not only creates unsafe working conditions – it may also lead to costly equipment failures, retrieval and recovery operations, and significant downtime.
Combining fully equipped mobile inspection trucks and EMI tubular inspection units with our knowledgeable certified inspectors, Lead NDT is prepared to dispatch crews with relatively short notice.
